Whae you tell people you are a tree surgeon...

What question do you seem to be asked the most? When I say to friends or people that I get chatting to in general, I am a tree surgeon, the question I get asked the most is "how do you kill a tree?" And " my neighbour has a tree in his garden and it over hangs into mine..." It never seems to be can you have a look at my tree because...

I gave up years ago and just tell them I'm off to kill a tree, or I hate trees etc.

 

I know it's not good PR for you guys and every now and again I give them the real deal, but when you get as far as I'm getting past 50 you don't really care what people think.

As a teenager I worked on a tree Nursery, when asked I would say "I work ON a nursery" or "Im a nurseryman. " My weathered injured hands and tanned face working outdoors. Many would say..

 

"O you like working with children?"

I used to get that alot too!

 

Used to blag the ladies that I spent a lot of time abroad though :001_tongue:
