Yes it's a tight fit in the bone.

What rope are you climbing on?

I'm using Hedera, i's okay. I had poison Hi vee before which I think was better. The Hedera is more bouncy.

I was thinking of trying the hitch a bit looser with the volcano. It seems to be a very fine balance between the hitch locking up and being too loose. This is on HH1. We'll see how it goes. The HH isn't perfect but I do prefer it to having a wrench flapping about and I'm still waiting for a compact mechanical SRT device to appear.

Are you finding the HH2 much better?

I'm on the HH1. Never used the HH2 but by all accounts it's the same but smaller.

I would describe the BDB and Akimbo as company mechanical SRT devices, if that's what you're after.

The krab supplied with the HH is integral, as the body of the device is designed to fit & secondly it is steel, which is more abrasion resistant & dissapates the heat generated far better.

As for the gate, is the krab clean & functioning OK?

Um not exactly true. Aluminium dissipates heat a lot quicker than steel. That's why heats disipaters in computers are aluminium.

They are steel because they don't Ware out. So on long decent be aware that the steel heats up.
