Spent today felling the stumps on a row of coppiced sycamores completed with included metal fence, barb wire, decades of metallic rubbish dumped by the neighbours - light fitting, mattresses, asorted odd metal bars. Also on site was ivy everywhere and some lovely strangly hollies :scared: that were to be retained :cussing:

Throttle trigger snapped off the 26....tentatively attempted to continue with 020 but gave up as the chain jammed on the second stump...

Decided to call it a day - packed up loaded van etc before it got stuck on clients lawn and needed a tow out before mashing the lawn anymore!!

Hope that makes you feel a bit better mate - think it was a bad day for it today...

Still its alright now and hopefully tomorrow willl just be much better all round :thumbup1:

finally did a job we have been waiting a long while for various logistics to be sorted. One of them being EDF to come and drop a power cables to the property. All went well, considering the wind and rain and traffic control over a busy road...

Had to smirk though when EDF, Landy MEWP blew up and started to smoke the place out...

Just goes to show it is not only the older ones that need a bit of TLC. :001_tongue:

Snowing in Manchester today, driving snow and cold all day.

Left home at 06:00, got to site to find site entrance locked, bolt cropped lock off to let low loaders in. Discovered grapple on 360 wouldn't rotate, waited until 13:00 for HE services to fix crappy grapple, did 2 HRS chipping with crappy slow grapple, 15:00 grapple sheared a bolt.

HE Services have 1 fitter servicing 90 machines and no spare bolt so called it a day, hopefully tomorrow will be better when they turn up with a spare at 10 am !!!

On the plus side the Heizohack HM 800 is awesome and has fantastic infeed power, Alex Price is a nice guy and it did stop snowing when i left cold, wet and muddy lol

Alex and I had great fun talking about Shreks Wee Brother and Skyhuck behind there backs :) Just kidding guys
