Once Rory had "chopped" the bed - he strengthened the end of the bed with box section, before re-attaching the head board. Where he could he used the existing structure to rebuild the body, saving on cost

The tail gate was fabricated from one of the old drop sides.

 

Rory - "Si make sure you take the tail gate off when you tip, otherwise it gets jammed bend the towbar and it will bend!"

Bed shortened, strengthened and plates over the wafer thin bits!

 

Tail gate shaping up with new gate and some refurbed barn doors.
