Ian, I know how you feel, though I'm lucky enough to be working at the moment it definitely comes and goes... Well done for getting a start with "Tree Wise Men"! What a cracking name .

I don't have a license to drive yet either, can't help but feel that it is a major stumbling block. Wanting to do CS 38 and 39 same as you but what use is it to me if I can't put a saw and climbing gear in the back of a van? I'd recommend getting the driving in asap, being able to say "yes" when asked if you can get yourself to the middle of nowhere by 8.00 am... I can't wait!

Your initial post is so cheery, you made me smile ... Also, Silky Fox, I love your picture! Hi-Vis out yer nut! Thats the way to do it...

I posted on the duplicate of this thread, but as that's going nowhere I thought I might as well add my tuppence worth here as well!

I've worked with Ian, and he's a real grafter and good to have around. Despite being transportally challenged he is reliable and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

Looks like team Arbtalk are coming up trumps again! :)

what it is to be young and be able to spend £200 just like that :001_rolleyes:

most of my money goes on running a business these days and the rest goes on household bills. I used to be well into my surfing and mountain biking, but I dare not not spend money any more on personal ventures as there is always another bill waiting in the wings, bugger it!

The dumping of £200 comes straight out of my already stretched overdraft and gets me 10 hours of driving, the instructors of today push you to do a minimum of 30 hours, then comes the over priced test followed by vehicle, insurance, tax and fuel all of which will be running alongside my household bills and work expenses for which I am solely responsible.........

personal ventures?????????? what are they???????? I had fun once, it was a bag of chips on brighton pier in 1986 :001_cool:
