How would you like to give me a job?? I bet you would. I've got CS30/31 and a brushcutter/strimmer ticket, L2 diploma in Environmental Conservation, first aid badge, knowledge of all that interesting health and safety stuff and I'm midway to wangling a pesticide ticket too. I've been working as a volunteer countryside ranger for W.S.C.C based at Buchan Country Park for over 2 years gaining experience and I'm an all round bloody nice chap. I don't have a driving license yet, starting lessons at the end of this month so would have to be within a reasonable train/bus/flying saucer/magic broom travelling distance.

I'm 38, semi grown up, I don't drink, or take drugs, can work any hours all for a reasonable rate, so when can I start?????

The good hard working men(and Sue)of W.S.C.C would be happy to bung you a reference if you want to make sure I'm not a total nut or chainsaw psycho killer.

Thanks

Ian Grice

Well done for living in Crawley and still managing not to drink.

I worked there for a few years and only managed a few nights a week in the town before I had to run for the hills.

The commute home was always a pleasure :o)

Good luck on the job hunt. Same sort of skills as me.

I'm based in Lewes but "might" have a day or two over the winter if the National Park decide to employ me to make a mess on the hills. The trains form Crawley to Lewes are rather good.
