Hi Ian

Keep going doing what you're doing and the job will come. Trust you've been on websites like cjs, stopdodo and the big boys like Glendale, Continental etc to see if they have any opportunities.

If it makes you feel better I have 25 years experience parks and countryside management, quals coming out my ears, both in management and practical and I went for a job where I was told I was too qualified, I think it may have been code for too old. Keep going and get that driving licence. Good luck.

It's a ho-hum bugger!!!! Working Saturday, bit of brash pulled my visor up, second bit of brash poked me nicely in the eye...so I'm now off for a few days, no work, no driving lessons for a bit either :(

Ouch! Hope it mends soon.

Anyway, that's enough sympathy. Where's our photo of you with a pirate eye patch? :)

Thank you Mr K for the (albeit brief) sympathy. I've heard there's a club in Brighton that specializes in eye patch wearing. :001_cool:

Thanks mate, I'll keep plugging away at it...I've spotted some jobs I'd really like to have a crack at but unfortunately they're all a bit beyond my travel range at the moment.

Sorry to hear about the eye. Invest in a pair of safety specs that you can wear under the visor. Not only saves your eyes but you can stand back visor up and look cool. In my case its more trying to look cool.

Driving licence has to be your priority now, watch out for them pirates.
