Tractor and mulcher or 360 with root rake.

site burning will have its own probs, if some one calls the e/a ,theyll fk you ,green wood makes lots of smoke . pulling them apart in smaller bits & chipping would be better,

 

i agree with that 1 somebody will probably moan! i just want to avid handling the stuff as much as i can.

360 with a grapple - one of the fixed ones will do, and rip them out, separating them up a bit as he goes and row them up a bit. Telehandler/tractor and loader and grab to load them up into fire heaps.

Try a multi task mulching machine or similar...

a smaller RT unit would be good but what's your plan for the site following clearance? Thorn chippings give a great slow release nutrient paypack (according to Dr Gynn Percivel) when used a mulch so if replanting then this may be your prefered option.

 

Ground conditions will be the main issue as its been a wet one as we are all aware....

i would have a look at using something like the greenmech multi task , failing that a 360 with multghing head would do the job

I never get why they ask arb companies to do this type of clearance work.

 

Obviously they are going to have machines in to dig out for hard standing and walkways. So why don't they just get the driver to rip everything out and level the ground.

 

I remember when building sites used to just push trees over and break them up into pieces for the hiab and truck to take away.

u cant really grab hold of material and move it any distance with a 360 though.

 

You haven't seen the people I use for digger work. They push it up with dozer blade and then roll it and push it with arm against blade lift with both and carry it to fire and roll it on.

Try Dave Riding if your stuck... Your required spec the rip out would be better than mulching (in my opinion) if I was re-landscaping the site post clearance. Look at a rip out tub grind or large capacity/bomb proof shredder to turn into biomass.. good calorific return on thorn so product may be worth a few £££... Good luck....
