hi all

just 'ruined' my Mac 14'' so the local dealership says, so was looking at a husq 236 in there, he wanted 199.99 as long as I left my old saw with him 'for spares' as its in very good overall nick ( he had a recon one in there for 140.00???)

so anyhow came home, looked on the web they are now reduced to 169.99 on the husq web site and everywhere else, so rang another husq dealer 30 minutes away, he does not stock the 236 but would order one for me at the reduced price, but suggested for an extra 30.00 the 135 was a better saw with a bigger engine,

so I'm going to run the new saw on aspen, lesson learned, do not do any felling, just downed stuff, and take it steady, rare to use more than a tank a time, just do enough to put in the back of the motor, as I have a Husq dealership handy and do not need more than a 14''

the question is which 236 or 135?

thanks

len

I was in winchester garden machinery and that 236 is on a deal at the moment £79.00 off so you can buy one for £140 new . That may not be posted out but may be worth ringing them.

435, that's what my mate bought when his Aldi Ferm Florin disintegrated.... in my hands...

Seems a nice saw, seemingly not as easy to start as my saw, and the auto return choke / stop lever takes a bit of getting used to....

Can't really comment further than 'it seems to work ok....' !!

I own a 236 and have used it for more than its built for, see picture <- I would reccomend getting the 135 as its easier to maintain, as it has a mesh filter and snap-lock cover, and also try the McCullough cs340 as its just a 236 in black

Another urban myth, its not the same, compare the spec.

Anyway, buy the 135, its a much better saw than either.
