Hi all I'm doing my CS30/31 Combined Course at Hadlow on the 20th of November. I'm after buying a chainsaw as i have all my PPE . ill be doing work for myself, What would be a good saw that's cost effective and commercial grade looking at the stihl, husq website obviously i don't have enough experience with them to know so its confusing as I've only got a Spear and Jacksons saw right now, thanks !

Yes, whats your budget? And what type of work are you planning on doing with it?

For a decent professional all round saw I would recommend a Husqvarna 346xp. I only have a 13" bar on mine as well so super light with lots of power and there are few things that you cant do on a day to day basis with a 13"bar.

Or if you wanted some thing this a little more power there is the next one up, a 357xp or its newer model the 560xp. Just depends on your budget.
