Rates of pay?

You'll find different companies can afford to pay different rates, depending on their own business model...how much profit they are looking to make themselves and more importantly if they are charging you out at enough to pay you a higher rate. Best to find the companies who are charging more realistic rates for their work and can afford to pay more.

£100 a day is no wage for any self employed worker to earn IMO

in all fairness Steve in some areas of the country £100 per day is a fair wage , as you said allot depends on the companies business model and how much profit they are looking to make , down here in cornwall a two man team is lucky to make £450 a day , so even at 100 a day there would not be allot of profit to be had if any .

£100 a day is nothing i pay my climber 180.00 a day when i need him and just build it in to the job i think you should be getting at least 150 a day! do you supply your own saws ppe and climbing gear?

How many days do you give him each week?

As an employee you will always feel you are worth more than you get paid.

However, you haven't got a clue what your boss goes through every month to make sure you get paid every month.

If your boss pays you on time every time and treats with respect then drives off in a £60k car to his nice house, it's because he deserved it.

Suck it up!

No unscrupulous bosses out there then, that pay peanuts and drive flash motors back to nice houses ?

Paying on time and treating people with respect does not pay the bills if ya aren't getting paid a FAIR days money.

Just a thought :001_smile:
