I use an etesia pro 51K. Expensive but does the job even in pouring rain.

 

Only down side is the height of cut lever tends to break at the spring cost of £10, simple job to change: wheel off, undo two nuts.

 

That is the only fault to a bomb proof mower, the Kawasaki engine is excellent as well.

can u let me know a cost on this m8. saw a price of 1140 on web dont know if there was vat on that.

would prefer a bigger cut for speed but i'm liking the brake system. my contract has a few good slopes.

Somebody told me that the reason the 2 stroke victas were being stopped was related to emissions rules, any truth to this?

I paid £1200 inc vat 18 months ago for my pro 51k.

 

If you want the bigger cut have a look at the pro 53. I looked at one at saltex and was seriously impressed.

we got a pro 51k like pro gard the only down side to this machine is that it still cuts in the rain. i have cut grass 12 inch hiegh with it and it still works

Good quality GOOD PERFORMANCE and not so expensive will go for many many years simply ....VIKING.....

Just had the Viking rep phone me a few mins ago. Whilst the new 7 series has a very nice 6hp Kawasaki, they don't do the pressurised lube version - bummer, that would have been a bit of kit.

 

Next best thing is the Ariens 21" with front lockable castor wheels (much better for tight corners), infinately variable forward speed, pressurised Kawasaki. Down side is fixed throttle (stupid) and dead-mans handle (pain in the proverbial).

 

The Etesia Pro 53 is amazing but mega-bucks.

 

I have an Etesia 2-stroke for sale, also an Ariens with the 6hp Briggs Intek and a Yamaha must go this season.
