Todays job was cleaning up 3 mature limes that are in a very bad way, had lots of work done on them. There days are numbered i fear cracking view though! Back tomorow to clean about 10 limes stems of epi growth upto about 15 meters the clients like clean lime stems who are we to argue.

I started my new job at a local orchard today. I was clearing a huge patch of apple trees filled with chicken wire!

Just got the best phone call of the year , after 2 days of hard work I was giving a full time Job , I'm so happy to be back in the work place.

Swing out of trees all day long and playing with chainsaws , what more is there out there ?

No pics but I got back Monday after working for 9 days at the great Dorset steam fair, was a great show back to the norm this week

today working at the same place as my previous post at the top of the page. had 9 mature spread out limes to remove epicormic growth and just clean the stems off, the owners of the house like to see clean stems which makes things very hard work for us doing the work having to aim the throw line 60ft plus to the first proper branch nothing to climb off and cant aim very well because of all the thick growth we got there eventually

 

first pic is where half a section of one of the limes had failed, second is a picture of the easiest 4 trees. all in all not in very good shape any of these trees.

few small tree jobs this week, one was 40% reduction/level of two leylandi included was a 30% small beach and two oaks, the two oaks were self seeded behind and inbetween the leylandi

 

 

second was a contorted willow removal and leylandi reduction/shape

 

 

both were each done in a day on my own, might be time I employed someone haha

Coupled of Western Red Cedars. Not great photos with camera but fair bit of work in them, three loads of chip in the double stemmed one.

Back tomorrow to move the timber.

Day 2 removing a Noble Fir. Will drop the stem first thing in the morning.
