Do you climb much now Ian? Do you plan on taking a step back in the future and let the lads do the practical work and you do the paperwork quotes, surveys etc side? Or are you keen to stay with the action, I'm guessing stay with the action now you have the new toy.

I still do roughly 75% of the climbing. Now Ollie is working for me I need to bring his climbing on a fair bit. I make them learn dead woods, thins and reductions. Then pollards and dismantling trees. No dismantling until they've mastered running the rope and working out where stuff goes on the deck first.

 

My aim is to have a reduced on site role so I can have office days. Mainly coming out to shift the timber and hopefully free the lads up to get onto another site.

 

But time will tell I guess.

Good plan, the hardest part is finding good staff to start with I find. You've certainly come a long way in a short time I remember your early videos and pics with a red hilux and timberwolf chipper.
