Self-snedding!

She was cooked alright Mick.

Oaks are funny buggers, can stand for years dead as disco, yet still a reliable tree to climb, only the cambium layer is mush, the inner part is like iron.

My only concern here was an uprooting when a big section came off.

All worry was unfounded in the end.

This sycamore came down at Christmas, luckily only some shrub damage, and a few fence posts to fix.

One of my favourite customers who have a lovely house in about 5 acres of woodland with some spectacular trees.

(James Bond carp pond @Rich Rule!).

Did some prep last week then got the Worky Quad into action today.

Stokboard motorway for the win across the lawn.

2 more days busting it up and hauling the heavy back to the yard.

What's that a 25 inch on the 66… bet that goes alright! There's that luvely transit, old but gold!

Had a wind blown tree across a toll road, Sycamore with Kretzschmaria, easy job with the tracked chipper and winch.

Spray the chip on the bank, winch timber back up the the road, dragged it up to a layby.

Van temperature gauge fluctuating quote a lot, not sure if this is heading the same way as my tractor 😢
