Looks like you’re having a good productive time there. Just casting my eye over photo 3, I think it’s may be a 13 mm Marlow Komodo main climbing line? When you have time get someone to check it or cast your eye over it, that’s a fair bit of rough abrasions on the outer sheaf, I think I would be tempted to fail it if we LOLER inspected it. Happy climbing and be safe.


It is a Marlow Komodo but it’s my steel lanyard so a bit more resistant. I am aware of it though and made note, had a meeting with the rigging line ?

Yep fair dos, that said the sheaf is still an integral part of that piece of kit and would lead to a failure. Steel rope in contact against a mechanical steel/aluminium rope grab ain’t good.

Exactly what I was thinking, I'm no expert in this area but it did look a bit ragged to me.

Nice job Bigtree the photographs don’t show how windy it was but guess was a bit gusty up there,but what a office best office in the world sometimes.

Looks a nice job and a nice day there don, is that an original 200 your using? And also what rope and size do you use? Cheers bud

Alex the rope looks like petal flow 11.5 or 11.6 maybe? Would need to be around that size for the zig zag and yes defo a Original 200

It is a original 200t modified buy the Man the legend spud ! And the rope is petzle lovely rope even with my weight it doesn't go flat in the zigzag very little bounce !

Original 200t modified and the rope is 11.6 petzle
