Original 200t modified and the rope is 11.6 petzle

Yes it looks a good rope, I’m thinking of going down the zigzag route but was wondering on how different your 11.6 would be to a 12.5. Do or did you find your hand we’re hurting using a smaller rope as there is less to grip, just your thoughts really bud, cheers

Hi mate I have climbed on 11.7 for years and not had any problems 11.6 definitely runs slightly better through the device! I almost always climb wearing pfanner reds which help with grip I also spend nearly all my time doing take downs which means am on spikes which am sure makes me less aware of grip problems because I tend to climb the tree not the rope I really do rate the petzle rope though definitely one of the best ropes for zigzag

Spent the lad two days working on a long on going job, felled and processed a few macrocarpa trunks... 461 was ripping as usual, although did end up being a 25" metal detector [emoji849]
Also here was the view at the end of the day!4438edac29877ae7322bd4fd7f0d0016.jpg062931a9ef79f306139c3127102a2835.jpg6ca76df985d047592476aac27a4a9211.jpg

Rotten Poplar pollard . Two rope working and despite the considerable handicap I was glad of two points of attachment at certain parts of the job. At other points of the job it was a tangled nightmare.

I hate Poplars. They should all be horizontal. Some pictures from the other day.

I also hate Ivy covering cavities in trees as well as dead Ash trees?‍♂️
