My RC2000 in action, with extra strap above keeping it in a nice tight position where it's easy to work, similar to marks. However I stupidly bought the stein strap for this thinking it might be special but it's just a very expensive cam type luggage strap :-(

The device itself is great to use, my Groundy uses it very effectively for all sorts of rigging and with plenty of wraps even this substantial chunk of Cedar was easy to manage, so much so that I took a picture with my free hand!

Is that a maillon attached to the top ring/ratchet strap.

I'm sure when I tried a strap it put a bit of a twist on the device. Never thought that was all it needed. Doh!!!

Large ali krab mate. The 5T ratchet strap pulls the straight spine up tight to the butt nicely.

I have the rc3002, best bit of rigging kit I own worth every penny for ease of use for not that experienced groundsman. I agree it is a big lump but if the tree ain't big enough to mount it on I do have a small porta rap but its a pain and often dont need to lower a tree of that size.

I did looks at the 2001 at the apf and like outhers have said would do for most jobs you would work in uk conditions.
