Hi, I have got a new job which ill be starting within a couple of months, Better money and job security, So ill be wanting to upgrade my car (mondeo estate) to a navara style truck.

Im wondering what peoples opinions are of the 4x4s out there, From what ive seen on the auotrader site ill be looking at around the 2003 to 2005 models.

Im looking at Navaras/Rangers/B2500s, Ive been told the L200 would be just too much to run.

Has anyone got one of the above? How do you find it? What MPG are you getting?

Any advice would be great.

Cheers

oh no mate what have you gone and started.

i have a volkswagen window van.

but i have had 4x4s and have used loads.

If it is to look cool, be comfy and race up and down bumpy muddy tracks. i think the new navara aventura is awesome. or if you want none of the above and want a workhorse that will take a beating for 20 years join john hancocks gang.

Got a 2004 L200 4work (non wide boy version) which does 25mpg+; 20 mpg when towing a ton. Very good vehicle, only negative is crap turning circle. Had an 03 Navara - quick, smooth and better mpg but con-rod went at 70k. Older Ford Ranger - horrible and useless off-road. Are you wanting a single / crew or double cab? Oh, and wait for it, someone is bound to recommend any moment now a...

Over 30 mpg? I reckon you're going to struggle to get that. L200 at mo and 25 on a good day with the wind behind.

Have had Nissans, Isuzu and don't think I've ever got 30.

Aye well maybe a bit optimistic with the MPG but ive never owned one so im not sure what they do!
