Is it really anything to worry about aprt from on some ornamental hedge or Tree.

 

I have work waiting in the wings because I have told them I don't want to do conifer trimming where there is a risk of severe frost.

 

Non of these jobs have prized hedges, just screens really.

Get fired in Dean, you know you want to do a bit of winter topping it's only frosty till 10am anyway :sneaky2: i would do it if it was only as a screen and nowt flash!

i wont do them either when its frosty and never have

But then again i don,t do em when its not frosty:001_smile:

frost can seriously burn conifers back, best to trim conifer hedges between may and october , thats my opnion

 

this is what i was taught at college and learnt from experience.

Ok. Cheers Lee. Always wondered as we'd cut conifers through November (as long as there was nothing horrible forecast for the forseeable) because customers would want their hedges looking nicer for longer over Xmas and into new year. I'd always wondered how close the call was as we never had anything damaged. Cheers.
