Lance Armstrong

They were all doing it back then.

Lance Armstrong has actually been quite smart. There probably is evidence so rather than being found guilty he has walked away. He is powerful enough to say “do what you like, everyone knows I won 7 tours and if you want your sponsorship $ back then you’ll have to fight me for it in a long drawn out battle and if you win I have more than enough $ to pay, and by the way good luck with the hard evidence that is now over 10 years old”

The frustration from the anti-doping agency is that Armstrong has not admitted guilt even though the court has ruled that failing to defend the charges is judged to be an admission of guilt – i.e. it ends in limbo. The doping agencies are jobsworths anyway, trying to make a name for themselves. They are not cleaning up cycling, to do that they need to set standards going forward, not messing about with the past.

Scientific studies show that cycling is a lot cleaner than it used to be but there will always be abuse from those seeking “marginal gains”

However you look at it his name will always be one that is associated with the Tour De France.

Maybe he has just got bored of the whole affair?

If he won this latest round of accusations, the governing body et al will find further accusations that he will have to disprove.

He won 7 titles and will always be remembered for that.

To those that say he was taking performance enhancers of some form or another, also say it was rife and everyone was doing it at that time...?

If that was the case, he did win le Tour whilst doing battle on a level playing field.

If it was a false allegation he would fight it. Hes worth 125 million, he could fight this with ease, and if he won could be worth alot more. If he was innocent.

By giving up early, He is avoiding loosing his hero status with his more loyal followers by being exposed in a trail where proof of what hes done WOULD come out.

Lance Armstrong give up ? NEVER EVER EVER

Loose hero status ? Not in a million years . The UCI and the tour boss pru d'homme i think it was then should stick 2 fingers up to the USADA .

Great news .. looks like the U.C.I governing body is going to legally challenge the USADA decision . They simply cant legally be judge , jury and prosecutor . He has not been stripped of anything yet , fingers crossed :001_smile:

The wheels of justice turn very slowly but they do turn. I hope you are correct.
