You show that stem! Here's another Q for ya... why not take doubles? The oblong shape tends to stop the wild bounces.

Second that but hey, bish bosh look at my lumps ! A near miss is the same as a miss by miles :001_smile:

Were you able to fell up the slope then lower the trunk down?I'd have atleast put something there to keep the rings in one place

My thoughts. Fell straight up the bank with a winch and some lines. Lines would stop it moving back down and easily and controlled on each ring. Coils also then back the truck right upto the bank and easily load up.

I suppose. Just the way it looks to other people passing by, throwing huge chunks out into the road and it looking like they don't really care about where they land or how far they roll out. I did just say looked.

Its not a road as such, its the rear access to the place and we were behind locked gates.

Ok. Didn't get that bit on the thread. Guess it was ok then.

Do a job as best you see fit etc.

Felling it is easy, making stop, not so easy.

The lamp would not have survived.

But you didn't stop the chogs bouncing wildly either.

Butt tieing the stem would have held it place perfectly or just rigging it all down would have solved the lamp post and house issue.
