Jacked the old mans 110 this evening to try and identify a rattle which sounded like it was coming from underneath. As it was sat on axle stands all round i started it up and left it in 1st gear just idling to listen out for anything unusual. Need new rear calipers as they were rattling/clacking/tinkling when the wheels were turning then clicked when i applied the brakes. Just ordered 2 off the tinternet as well as two sets of shoes and rear hoses as the previous garage replaced the front lines when they did the front brakes.

If you want a tipperr then it's really only worth looking at 110 or 130. 130 double cab would be versatile bu not mega carrying capacity. Mega money to buy though and really quite a barge to drive round town.

If you could stretch to a 110 hd @ 3500kg gvw then you'd have a good base to start from

ok great thankyou, ill look for some 110's, my other idea was to get a ranger and fit a protipper on it. but i do love my lannys from back in the military days lol

Looks good that Matt! Now to find some mud!

I cleaned mine today, four buckets of water and kitchen degreaser and fairly liquid to clean the inside, doesn't smell musty or old anymore. Well pleased. Just needs plenty of attention on the roof and bonnet paint.

I have a problem developing on my discovery 1, was driving and the diff lock light was flickering on the dash.

Lever is ok, was doing about 30mph, have been using it shortly to get in and out of a gateway but that's it.

I can feel it engaging when the light flickers, a bit worried its going to come on and stay on, is there a way if disengaging it at the axle?
