Hi all. been pimping up my 130 and I'm trying to find a second hand roof rack for the old girl. Has any one got one? I know the brown church racks are great but the price is too much for me! I seem to be able to find plenty on 90 roof racks and was thinking would it be best to just cut one down??

I have a Brownchurch one that might suit the bill for you

 

It was custom made for my 300Tdi Discovery (ie Disco 1) - has full side rails but a clear front and back so I could use it for ladders etc. A 50mm (I think) welded mesh base, and a full width roller at the rear for putting on ladders, pipes etc.

 

Less helpful - I'm working in Ireland this week, but will be back on the 'mainland' on Sunday and can take some 'photos if you are interested? From memory, it was about 8ft long - at least I remember I was able to transport over 20 sheets of 18mm ply on it, which made cornering an 'interesting' experience!

 

Don't let my location put you off - I work all over the UK - eg I have some work to do in south Cheshire next month.

 

PS It is galvanised

Cheers waterbuoy but really only looking for one to go over the cab roof or one that extends over the bonnet. also i would like it to have sides front and back to stop stuff falling out!

As long as they have cree led's in them they shouldn't be bad Jon, just really depends what you want to spend. Utv products have a good range all good quality and at a competitive price.

yeah I'm not sure wether to put a light bar on the new potential roof rack or put some spots on the bumper.
