You need to to have a LR competent mechanic look at:

a. Springs and shocks possibly knackered

b. Bump stops

c. the build - you might not have enough clearance

Who was the tipper built and fitted by?

Have you asked the previous owner if he had problems - would you trust him to tell you the truth??

Good luck sorting it - we need photos!!!

I'll second all of that, but I'd Be surprised if the springs are knackered. And if the bumps are present but the tyres are rubbing when loaded I would suggest a build issue.

It is quite surprising how much travel a Landy suspension has and adding longer/extended bumpstops would only solve the problem if it was riding on the bump stops when half loaded which it shouldn't. Even if it sits on its bumpstops it shouldn't rub (standard body work won't rub even without bumpstops and the chassis sat on the axle ;) )

I would suggest loading it till it rubs and see where the axle is in relation to the bumpstops.

If it's rubbing before it touches the bumpstops its a build issue. One suggestion to fix it might be spring spacer style lift kits, but be carefull, they can make the handling horrible because they change the geometry of the suspension.

Hope this helps.

Been trying to change the rear suspension on my 130 today. I got at set of Terra firma +50mm springs and shocks. As well as some pretty ropey service from Craddocks it's been a frustrating day. The biggest drama being the springs are about 15mm or so narrower than to standard ones so don't fit on the spring locator. Anyone else had this problem and what do you recommend as suitable +50mm springs. I got the socks and bushes done anyway.

Cheers
