Head gasket has gone this week 72k on the clock. I took it to my Landrover Dealer as I get good service and a loan vehicle. £970.

What engine's that Hodge? Seems mega expensive for a landy.

Ouch. What area are you in? Might be other places to go

I will only go to a main dealer as I need a loan vehicle and good service. I looked at going to a landrover specialist in the past and they were a joke.

Ive got to get the 2nd year service done on my 90.

I got the first service for free as part of the deal when i bought it so got it done main dealer.

Any ideas what a 2nd year will cost me? Ive got main dealer and local specialist near me.

No idea mate sorry. I take mine to the main dealer because I can take it in and it gets looked at ASAP, I get a defender to use while its being done and its ready when they say it will be. It costs a bit more but its all Tax deductable.

No worries, i'll give westover land rover a call tomorrow and see if they will give me a rough idea of a basic cost.

Does having main dealer servicing help retain vehicle value (thinking into the future)?
