Well my day just gets worse....

Driving in this morning and it suddenly pulled to the Right. Had to stop. Started going again and it was slightly pulling to the right still. So at yard took wheel off. Bearing has gone. So looking for a new one and cheapest closest shop is 49 quid....... Ebay is cheaper but delivery middle of next week...

So started stripping the hub off and now I have a leak in the metal brake pipe.. Argh. Think I'm going to lose it soon.

Dude! Bad news!

Mine's still stationary on the drive.

Got flooded last year.

Starter seized.

Fitted new starter.

Clutch bearing disintegrated.

Sat through winter.

Booked for new clutch.

Battery knackered.

Then mrs' car developed Christmas tree syndrome so the poor old Disco has gone to the back of the queue.

Went to put the other car back on the road for the summer for the wife to use while hers is in.

Both Bowden cables snapped on the hood cover locks so all the back seats and trim is now stripped out so I can replace them....

Mate, there's ALWAYS something to do on cars, no matter what they are! :laugh1:

Need 2 tyres on mine as well.... It never ends. :001_rolleyes:

Wow makes mine look small. I guess it has wound me up a bit as now I've got to wait until middle of next week. And as I'm the only one who drives in the house its the only car. Plus for working.

Just hate it when things just pile on all at once. Not only the landy but other things aswell.

Life I suppose.

Like you say, that's life. No point getting worked up over it...

If you were closer and any of ours worked I'd gladly lend you something :001_smile:

We're a bit like the local Enterprise centre. Only cheaper.

And our fleet is a bit more rubbish. :blushing::laugh1:

That's a fantastic offer. Top bloke. :thumbup1:

Like you say I'm not close. Wish people round my way where more like it. A couple are it not many.

To man IMO. :thumbup1:

It's funny, it's one of those things we don't really worry about. We keep them taxed and insured and just ask that when they come back there's roughly the same amount of fuel in them. The soft top is popular in the summer! :001_tongue: If we ever get one.... :001_rolleyes:

I lent my Disco to a landscaper friend once. He was 'surprised' at the (dreadful!) fuel consumption, being a v8. I think he worked out he'd have been better off staying at home! :laugh1: Mind you, I lent it to another mate for about 3 months, he fell in love with it and commuted in it every day :001_huh::thumbup1:

Yeah Chris it's a 300 but just doesn't seem to pull right. My old 90 was a 200 with 175k and pulled great..

Fettle with the pump a bit Pete. Will give it plenty poke. Plus a 130 is gonna be a few hundred kgs heavier so you will notice it. You may just be getting paranoid about it being broken. It's common for land rover owners to experience this :laugh1:

I think it's just the way they are - my 300 90 has 295,000 miles on it so far, bog standard and goes well. I had an ex utilities 300 130 quadtech with something like 170K on it and it always seemed like it was loaded, even when it wasn't.

When it was loaded it still felt fairly similar though so figured it couldn't be in too bad fettle. Think they're just a big heavy barge to be getting dragged round by 112hp.

Out of interest, have you gone any taller than 235/85 or 265/75 tyres? I always felt they could do with being slightly lower geared than they were.
