In Desperate times...My Silky saves the day!

Gotta quickly post this because I'm on a bit of a mission myself. Bearing in mind I have been tipping the scales at just over 16.5 Stone for a year, I now weigh............

Back in the forces days. I was weighing in at around 11- 12 stone give or take. I was a bit of a racing snake nothing fazed me when it came to distance and carrying weight on my back. I play rugby now a days to keep my fitness not to mention running around after my kids and arb work. Having said that the older we get the harder it is to shift fat. So any fitness is got to pay. Diabetes and obesity is an issue in this country. Stay safe stay cool and rehydrate.

Yeah sorry Chris just seen your posts at 4 a.m this morning.since altering my lifestyle I'm either asleep early or very late but seem to be waking 3, 4 or 5 a.m fit as a fiddle! All the relevent info is available via council websites and Town Hall etc... I'm no good on facts and figures. I just know its near the university buildings and a nice woman from the commitee met me there with some of her volenteers...we had a nice chat and a coffee and gave the findings to my boss....will keep you informed (if I'm not asleep)

Durham parkrun

 

Parkruns are a great idea. The clock starts at 09:00 every Saturday and stops when you scan your barcode through the finish line. They text you your time so you can try and beat it next week.

 

I hate running but I do like competition so I can put up with 5k every now and again.

 

 

I've not done the Durham one but the http://www.parkrun.org.uk/gibside/ is a lovely course through the woods.

As I was driving to see my son this afternoon I noticed the familiar sight of Stealth's Landy.As I got nearer I recognised another familiar Landy bucket truck...it was Mr Git! Had to get a few photos....Small world John. How did it go today? Got a picture of the finnished job?
