Well its not really heli logging but i heard a buzzing sound the other day and found a quad rotor drone hovering behind me.

It was a techy dream with four rotors, gps hover control and a Go-Pro HD on the front.

I looked into them things, to shoot us topping out some big firs in the sticks....but they dont go very high, and I could just see them flying out of remote range and crashing somewhere. Somebody on here need to try one though....just set it over the top of the tree and then time-lapse mode perhaps....are you there Flatters:thumbup:

I spoke to the 'pilot' who said they can go out of sight actually and if that happens you press the Return Home button and the gps flies it back and the radar avoids obstacles. Seriously hi tech!

His cost £850 (bargain) but his mates has 8 rotors and cost £6K! 😱

I was about to post the same thing reg.

 

If i had one of those i would spend my time looking for hot chicks sun bathing in thier back yards
