LOL yes Ed it is but it would also be very easy to make the whole dam cab 6" wider do away with thoose silly wheel arch eyebrows and have some extra cab space but land rover don't see things like we do!

Steady on Matt, that would make it like a JAP:scared1:

Hmm. its funny how plenty of back shed engineers can install the TDV6 in a defender but the worlds biggest motor company cant...

It was an easy excuse to use loads of surplus transit engines.

I'm sure it would not have presented to big a problem, after all we've had v8 defenders for long enough.

I would love a TDV6 130...

Iveco are planning to introduce the Massif to the UK market this year pricing it below the Defender - 3.0 litre engine two hp options 146hp or 178hp or something like that, they plan to take a chunk of Defender sales. Its basically the Santana with apparently over 140 improvements. Problem is the Euro exchange rate will push the price nearer the Defender.

Also, whose gonna buy the Massif knowing that Iveco might pull out the UK market after 2 years of poor sales leaving you with a problem finding spare parts.

Anyone heard any reports of how the Santanas are holding up?
