escalator I found to be so light I can hardly get it to the ground to get my saw tied on. I think it may be filled with helium. It always wants to float around and tangle in the tree. Never thought a rope could be too light. Its very stiff and cable like so it runs through tools a little choppy as well. I believe that a loosely tied bowline could fall out in no time. It is a nice attractive rope though. great for foot locking and ascent.

Globe I'd say is a no go for working on. It's like climbing on cable, super super super static and it's only 10mm so hard to grip. I really struggled getting a hitch to grab it too. I really would not want to take a fall on globe....

Drew, I don't use hitches anymore so that wouldn't be a problem and I'd like to think I'm not due a fall but accidents happen. I always try to eliminate any slack from my system. Very valid points you have raised!

It runs through cams awesomely and is great for tree frog style access. A uni grabs it well but I think it would wear the uni pretty quick due to the cover. It's also really light so not sure how that would effect it flicking off the uni in control mode.

And when I say fall, I mean a drop of excess of say 20cm but then again a hitch/will slide under that sort of load, I presume.
