Interesting thread, and my! how the tables have turned in 5 years! I'm wondering if the tables will turn again when the 201tm is launched? Interestingly I found an un-numbered part on the 201 IPL for a magnum muffler, with a reference to the 201t-z, oddly all part number for this model have been removed from the parts list?!

I keep banging on about the Echo top handle, I know, but it simply has superior build quality to the big two, and performs competitively, at a reasonable price with a two year pro warranty.

same applies to the lovely 620sx.

A very silly move not to be at the show, I think sales would have picked up heavily, thing is we often are brand loyal, or at least 'big two' loyal, understandably, if Countax pushed these saws & got more people using them they would sell themselves.

What are they like for spares? I've been impressed with em in the past especially the hedge cutters but have been advised there may be a wait for parts.

Not needed any other than a brake band on the little top handle a few years back, but that turned up in the post after a couple of days.

Echo showed complete idiocy by not having a stand at the APF. Some phenomenal new products and only F&A there pushing the product.

Shame on you Countax.

Echo didn't have a stall there but they were there as part of the forest and arb stand. I had a good chat with one of the guys regarding the 360tes and my thoughts on it

Funny you mention that, the brake band was one thing I thought looked a bit weedy on the echo top handle.
This was on the little 270tes saw, & only the one broke after years of use, none gone since.

I would think the spares situation will be ok for the modern saws from Forrest & Arb.:001_smile:
