Roundup is glyphosphate based as far as I'm aware???????????????

Yep, roundup is just a trading name. Glyphosate is the active ingredient in most herbicides, usually at a concentration of 360 g/l. Pretty generic stuff and doesn't hang around in the soil.

I only charge per hour plus chemical, as the control of knotweed has to be methodical. If people want a quote i make sure that they understand this, otherwise i will not quote for it.

Somethings can not be rushed and this is one of them.

Two of you fold it over with a scaffold pole , then spray , half an hour tops you would get in a utilities company for that . Maximum volume per hectare printed on all chemical product labels , it is a poison after all ! :001_smile:

the 5lt per hectare dose relates to foliar spraying if people actually bother to read the labels,

basically if you dont know what your doing, leave it to people who do.

I have again been under cut on a big knotweed job this week, by a load of farmers who evidently have know idea what they are pricing for. If you dont know what your doing you cant quote a job and it sounds like people on here havent even correctly read the paperwork for the chemicals they are discussing

IF YOUR STEM INJECTING YOUR MAXIMUM DOSE RATE IS 10ML OF 16% MIXTURE PER STEM, LTRS PER HECTARE HAS **** ALL TO DO WITH IT! :sneaky2:

You would think so where KW is concerned mate.

Rob, what's the crack with Hogweed?

Can't remember the name of the chemical we spray it with. Bit stronger than roundup. But you can't just go running in and around it.

Charlie: that sounds right. I've never heard my dad mention l/ha rate with stem injection. He knows a lot more on the topic than I do, I just pick bits up.
