Must be a snip

Im thinking of getting the snip :scared1:

Who else has had it and what was it like after. I'm asking as I've read up on it and I was after a few first hand accounts?

How long before you were back working? And did it actually hurt after? What was it really like getting it done?

I'm no fan of pain, bit of a wuss when it comes to pain. Hate needles and don't like the thought of a doctor messing with my bits :blushing:

But I think the time has come that me and the missis is getting fed up with the usual pill taking and I hate condoms. Bloody annoying things they are :001_rolleyes:

So please what is the truth when it comes to the procedure. Reading online is fine as its all happy smilie faces, but I know it's not always like that in real life. Especially in our line of work. I will be trying to get it done over christmas so it's not to busy and I can take the time to heal after.

I nearly did, but backed out at the last minuet, very glad I did because I went on to have two girls, in addition to the two boys we already had.

I read up on it and found that a lot of men end up with permanent pain after the op.

apparently its a simple op. I have been close on a number of occassions to getting it done but have been talked out of it. Some how nuts and knives dont seem right together. You get yours done and let us know how it goes and I will look at it again. A guy I know had his done in the morning and replaced my flat roof in the afternoon. It was blazing hot and a big roof so it cant be that bad.

Not had it myself, but I know of three mates that have,& it was all ok,the last mate to have it done said if there was a next time ,he would drop a frozen chicken on his big toes a few times to take his mind of it.

I tried the chilly chuck once & decided not to have me tubes cut!

You wil be fine,I understand your concerns,But your lass has a point,go for it.:thumbup1:

Had it in 1995 and have never had even the slightest problem. The worst bit of the whole thing was the injection of extra local halfway through the 'op' (took 15 mins!) so it wasn't bad at all. No way could I have gone back to work the same or the next day though: several days for me.

Definitely a good move after serious discussion with Madam.
