He didnt get fined for stupidity he got fined for not following the rules that we all follow.

Yeah we all follow every rule as I'm sure you do I'll remember that when using a saw with one hand and holding with the other that next door could get me a 6 grand fine.

Bit rough I would say, I,m sure most of us cut corners now and again and take risks, but saying that no chainsaw cert means no insurance. We all pay ours.

This like everything now is about collecting revenue. If it was about safety they would have demanded he went on and paid for all the relevant courses and passed all the certs within 6 months or the fine would be due.

He didnt get fined for using a saw one handed and you wont, but if you don't have the required certs or any PPE you will.

i agree, this is way over the top considering he didn't actually harm himself or anyone one, im with genset steve, they should have enforced him in a more constructive manner ie tickets before fining him like this. Neighbour was a grass but then it is irritating to see cowboys at work and he wasn't the one who gave the fine.
