A half hour flying lesson... which, oddly enough, I also got for my dad.

Anyone ever fly a tiny plane? Any advice?

My Dad used to hold a PPL . ( he is 94 now so no way ! )  I have flown a Cherokee 180 and a French plane that was semi aerobatic called a Robin under his guidance  . It was fun but I do get motion sickness . Doing steep turns in the Robin made me feel uncle dick !

Have been up a couple of times. Do a wee first would be my advice! Depends on the formality of the lesson and instructor.. I know the pilot ive been up with well.. till wouldn't recommend shouting Allah hu achbar as you go into your first descent..! but jokes aside, just take it in and absorb as much as you can and enjoy it.. stunning way to see the countryside. You will want one after it!

Take Stugeron. My son needed to take it when flying with an instructor, but didn't. He gets motion sickness on fair ground rides, so we should have known. My daughter however is fine on sea going boats and in gliders too. Me: I can even get motion sickness rowing, riding on the bus or on a playground swings these days! Stugeron really helps with nausea- but can make you a bit yonderly.

Maaan, remember being 14 and not feeling sick when you went on the roundabout at the park when drunk? The wife and I had a go on the roundabout near where I grew up a couple of years ago, we nearly threw up. Getting older is bloody hard!

Edit

I'd never actuality heard of stugeron, I'll look into it. Sounds like the kind of thing that'd be good to have around for a quiet night in anyway.
