Look at the insurance first off mate, as that might make the decision for you, if it's too dear!

What's up with the LDV??

looking at changing my truck. Looking for some info on the canter good and bad please. most of them are 3.0 i am only 23 so i think it will kill the old insurance, curently running a crew cab ldv 2.5 litre.

Thanks

We have one with a big chip box on it . Tips well and holds more than the old trannie . More powerful as it is a turbo . Seems more bouncy in the suspension than a trannie . The mirrors are on very long arms making it very wide it seems . constantly having to pull them in to fit through gaps but other than that its a goodun .

Bought a LWB crew cab tipper last year 2003 3.0ltr. Put new gearbox/clutch/flywheel in it. Really liked it, but then needed new back diff (£2500) so off it went, sold it with the problem known to a guy that sent it to Poland with a recon back diff.

Nice truck, just couldn't keep up with it in and out of garage.

Lots of space, cheap on derv, light on rear with no load.

Be carefull on payload, I think mine could carry a bag of air, and still be overloaded!

i had a 7.5 ton one years ago and loved it. you could fill it right up and it would always tip. For such a large motor it felt quite small and easy to drive. The 7.5 ton ones are quite big for getting into driveways though. I got rid of it because of all the legislation that goes with 7.5 tonners.
