90% of the time its fine , the other 10% its not . Same goes for the felling rope . For us its not the money its coiling the bugger up after ! :biggrin:

You actually already know. If you're asking us what to buy when we don't know what you do, you've already answered your own question 👍😘

 

I was half expecting you to say to buy a 30 metre rope, rope wrench and climb srt so it'll be good for 60 metre trees. ;)

DOH!, Me being dozy, I reckon the rains washed a few of the remaining brain cells away.

 

A 30 metre rope would allow for 30 metre trees or 29 metre, allowing 1 metre for the running bowline.

 

It was meant to be tongue in cheek as Old Mill Trees seems to be a bit evangelical about the RW. ;)

 

I have a couple of 45 ish metre ropes and a 20 which seems to suit the work I get. Seem to be using the 45 metre Tachyon a lot lately.

Actually it would do me fine as I never go more than halfway up a tree anyway. I normally spike a third of the way up and then fell the top out. Thats on pruning jobs obviously.

 

That's actually correct, for all those thinking it's a joke!!
