I'm just looking into supplying Save Edge files....

But although based in the States they are imported from somewhere in Europe...

Once i have a few may sponsor a round file test i.e. grind the suppliers name off and then offer a batch of 8 files, 2 of each and see who thinks which one is the best in a blind test.

Count me in! I love testing things out to check what works best.

I've compared the Vallorbe and Oregon files again as a result of some of the comments above. I also got my uncle (been sharpening chainsaws since 1966!) to do a blind test.

The result is the same. Vallorbe and Oregon files are different. They both file smoothly but the Vallorbe takes more off with each rub and is the better file.

I perhaps should have mentioned that I have been testing the round files on Stihl chain.

Save Edge. From what I understand, the file blanks come from abroad. Not the finished product. (for 6 sided square files)

Because I know if you want blank files they order them. Then you can get them diamond coated. (for 6 sided square files)

Take a look at Rob's videos as well , easy to follow and very helpful.

I quite like Bahco files also made in Portugal.
