Charlie,

Reconsider your list, you've ironed out nearly 500 quid that's half useless in my opinion.

You haven't got anywhere near enough carabiners, youve got nothing to put a throwline in, and although the equipment you highlight will get you very, very basically up a tree trunk, you have no rope or hardware to complete a changeover. You also have no wire core flipline and several other anomilies.

Please contact me by personal message if you want help to write a shopping list of things you will need and use while watching the pennies, happy to help.

Tom.

You need:

Harness (your choice)

Rope (your choice)

Crab for rope to harness (as you say 3way)

Side strop (rope some knots 2 crabs.. improve later with snap hook splice etc).

You have split tail (that’s fine or prussic will do)

Ditch the throwline and borrow a ladder, spend the money on a silky saw. Most trees in the UK are small anyway.

I don’t know what the Sirius loop is but if it’s a general purpose sling it’s a useful bit of kit and worth having.

Chainsaw strop if you are able to use one at the moment.

Couple more crabs for your sling and odds and sods.

Job Done…. No charge:001_smile:

I forgot to add the throw line bag. I would use the Marlow split tail 3.5m for change overs as i have taught.
