Good luck to your friend and his venture, the market for lowering devices is saturated.

 

Unless he can improve on the Buckingham Portawrap 3 he's wasting his time.

 

It's is an arb design classic, that rare combination of something in treework that not only looks right but does the job right with the minumum of fuss.

No, I tried a lot, and went back everytime, have you tried it tied up rather than loose and hanging down?

 

i haven't to be truthful, does that make them perform better??

Why better priced? Presumably they will be the same quality as the current offerings so why not price them the same and let them sell on qullity, god knows there are enough threads on here about undercutting, let's not get kit manufacturers on the same path.

 

More profit will give you more time and money for product development, I don't know how far you can go with a capstan but there are plenty of other shiny metal things that could be looked at.

myself i have a stein rc1000 and we also work with a rc2000. i find them both great and easy to use. they are both around the £100 mark, just under and just over... honestly i dont see how you can beat that. but good luck to him.
