Just work for the £80 a day when you have nothing better to do, but only go at half speed.

Use the silky loads to save saw costs, and you wont be knackered when you get home. Genius.

I only have 2 speeds off and full, if i were going at half speed i would feel like I was stealing from the client.

You can't go out for 80 when you are quiet and more when you are busy, if you go for 80 this week they will want to pay 80 next week.

some interesting replies on this thread!...I agree with a lot of them. You get what you are worth if you work for the right firm. Some firms expect a lot for peanuts...don't work for them..simples.

If I got rid of my landie, rigging kit, ladders, fuel, insurance and pride in my job and got a old banger to drive to the yard, £100 a day would do me fine...no rigging, British standard optional and sorry about that fence panel...blimey, sounds like most of the firms I price my jobs up against!

Hi all,

Just been speaking to a tree surgeon i used to work for (asking for a bit of chipper advice), he then moved on to say the reason i dont phone you anymore josh is your too expensive!!:confused1:......

As he said he can get blokes that just want beer money and are happy to work for £10.00 per hour,

Ive been on the ground working with a saw for atleast 5/6 years and have been climbing for say 12months, im not being cocky but i would say im getting quite fast & im very safe, Im self employed & have my own van, saws, ppe & 5million pl insurance.

I charge £12.50 per hour at the moment (£100.00) per day.

And i graft for that, sometimes dont even stop for lunch,

Is this really to expensive? All the other lads i subcontract for are well happy with me and give me load of work, at the end of the day ive still got rent to pay, bills the same as anybody else.!!

Thanks

Oh my god ! Por bugger :( I think yr bringing too much to the job , mate, he is taking the mick out of yoo, kx
