Hey all. I was around pricing a job for a customer this evening. The job involved removing hanging branches and deadwood removal and just abit of tidying up. Its around 45ft tall, the work can be done in around 2hrs and I priced it at 70.

I got the job but cant help feel that I overpriced it?

Ok maybe i used the wrong words. Its just cut and leave. Only fuel to pay for. £30 p/h i thought was decent enough profit?!

Toooo cheap . Its sounds like a £120 to me but not seen it .

Today i deadwooded 4 lime trees (couple of big bits in each). I priced it at £70 anticipating being there about an hour. Could easily have done it in an hour but was messing about having a leasurely day so took 2. I felt that my price was correct.

For me £140 . No disrespect just sounds cheap , I mean 4 tree's and two of you ?

OP- Got to be £150 - £200 ?

How have you got profit from £35/h after wages, fuel, time quoting, time travelling to and from job, insurances, maintenance, wear and tear, downtime cover etc etc ?

it literally is cut and leave. fuel needed only and job only 3miles up the road and only paying myself
