I've got a chainsaw that I need to post but just went on parcel2go and looked at their restricted items list and chainsaw is on the list...

Are there any couriers I can send a chainsaw with? Presumed other people on here must have couriers they use for sending saws :001_smile:

I use the post office . I think parcel2go use them as well ! ( amongst others ) What you can't have is any smell of petrol. I always make sure the tank is drained and it is sealed . Never had one refused .

Parcels2go don't do saws now, by some of the packing from some ebay traders that I have seen, I understand why:001_rolleyes:

Best to google couriers and then go with one of these groupage traders, they basically get a damn good rate from a number of couriers based on the fact they will do a certain level of business with them and then offer the user (thats us) a reduced price on what we would get from the courier direct!

Hermese and Yodel seem to be the cheapest on a three day service - but book through one of these discount courier sites - one that will take saws!

Parcel2go will take engine parts - up to you if you want to take a chance - I always drain the fluids and bag in a plastic bag to avoid spillages!

I think I'll put it through parcel2go as engine parts. It's well packaged up in a sturdy box and filled all round with bubble wrap so I can't see there being any problem! parcel2go is the cheapest by far for using Yodel.
