anyone using the old rope through the fork technique these days needs retiring.

 

Only came here to say well done on pushing 70k on the thread adam, good job

 

And to pass opinion of course.

Nothing wrong with natural crotch rigging.

Natural crotch for light to medium rigging is fine, especially if you're changing the rigging point all the time. I've used that big blue rope for years without a pulley, as long as it's not too big or run too fast it's fine.

Xrings or a pulley for the big stuff.
