I have just had a call from the nfu, they will give me public 2.5million,employers for one man, insure 4k of small tools and 2 088 at 1200 each

all for 583 pounds. i am delighted. i was paying 800 which is cheap but didnt cover tools. they also covered the mog, chipper, valmet roofmount and trailer for 1200 pounds. they have saved me over 1700 pounds since friday for next year. hope this info can help others. so 3 cheers for willy at the nfu.

That,s certainly helped me. I,m with Trust ins at £700 for £5 million, its due for renewal this week. I dont really need that much cover and if you want to put tools on it goes up to £1200. I should have checked the NFU before now because I have my truck and chipper insured with them. Thanks for the nudge in the right direction:thumbup1:

my experiences with nfu weren't as bright. took our local office nearly 4 weeks to put a quote together for me and worked out nearly double the price of an equivalent policy with axa.

you done well with that price tho mate

I had the same issue with the delay but the quote saved me over £300 / year by combining all the cover into 1 trade policy, I would still shop around next time though, this years savings could be next years increase!

i had a great experience with NFU. Those who have been on here a while will remember i got done over in march and lost 1200 quids worth of gear, I reported it to nfu and got clearance to buy new gear the next day and the claim was sorted in about three weeks including waiting for the loss adjuster to come out. One thing about their policies is that tools are often covered if left in vehicle or shed as long as it is secured.

I'm also with NFU and like yourself their quote including tools and chipper was the same as trust last year for PLI only.

Only started with them as they seemed to be the only company that would insure a modified landrover, I now have everything with them.

Phoned the Skipton office, phone number available via NFU website just enter skipton as your location. They seemed to be much more switched on than the local offices.

Hi guys, thought that would grab your attention. i dont know if you are aloud to put name and number on thread, so i will put it on my message thingy. even better. my mate who gave me this number. got a call from the nfu just after he signed up to say there was a tree down on a farm local to him, so he got the job of tidying it up and that covered his years costs with them. how descent was that. but i cant guarantee it will happen for us.
