anybody else having probs with the new 550xp

as the title says is anybody else having starting probs with these new saws as ours is very difficult to start when hot

Have u read the manual of how to start it hot? Takes some getting used to

One of the boys got one about a month ago, has quite a lot of trouble starting when hot. Not sure of cause. Not been looked at by dealer yet.

You need to prime it a couple times then knock it onto half revs

I had a similar problem with my 560 . It was cured by fitting the next up hotter plug . This was done on Husqvarna technicals recomendation . Worth a try ?

havn't yet found out where half throttle is some times it does sometimes it doesn't, nothing positive to tell ya where it is, anyone enlighten me?

Turn the choke on then off...its then on half throttle....i believe, dont actually have the saw

As above.

 

Mine was a pig to start after refuelling (but still warm) til I read the manual. I kept flooding it by trying to get it to fire on full choke and not using the primer either (like you could with a normal saw)

 

Normal warm starts don't seem to be a problem though, most of the time it'll go without half revs though if it's just been off for a few min.

Is it all hot starts that it's a pig on?
