£7.20 an hour with long term potential for probably 22 days holiday, 8 days bank holiday. Local authority will pay sick pay, pension, employers national insurance, has an obligation to provide continuous training. Works out to be £14k a year but I guarantee the employment will cost the LA £28k, as said great opportunity.

Words can not express how annoyed I get when full-time employment rates are compared to sub-contracting rates. A lot of subbies on £100 a day still expect to receive in the region of £90 a day take home which is roughly £32k a year, with all benefits mentioned above and NI cost to the cost to employer is £37.5k a year. Birthday rant over.
