Almost certainly hogweed. I've had a minor problem with it in the past, but nothing lasting. However in some people they burns can remain photosensitive for years. I should think ginger types might be worst affected.

 

I had a bad encounter with hogweed when I was about 10 years old and ended up with blisters on my arms and legs - and scars which lasted for several years. Yes, I'm ginger*, but I'm not fair skinned.

 

*or at least I was until nature took over.

I have 2 gallon of Tordon 22k which i think is perfect for spraying the blighters whilst not affecting the grass. Does anyone know the mixing ratio for knapsack

 

I always use 1 massive glug to 2 "yeah, that'll do's"

If its a 16l knapsack then about 300-400ml if you have some hard stuff to hit. If its just hogweed 200-300ml as the l/ha rate is lower.

 

Blimey that stuff is expensive!

I bought it from some rogue from Manchester Rob who is often seen frequenting stalybridge :biggrin:
