Which diesel Chipper lads..??

i had the displeasure of using a g/m eco chip yesterday ,what a pile of junk, took 2.1/2 hrs to chip what the jensen would have chipped in under an hour :thumbdown::thumbdown::thumbdown:

 

try a newer gm not an old one.

Totally agree - the gm machines with letterbox feeds (1523, 1623, 1928 etc) are the ones to go for, they are leagues ahead of the older designed machines. Gm have made some duff chippers in the past and suffer because of it - their overall external design has changed very little and people who have used one of their older designed machines tend to talk down their whole range. I think if they had been a bit more radical with the visual design of the later machines they would have had more success in winning back early users that perhaps had negative experience with the earlier machines.

I don't know, we use a chip master 220, couldn't argue about it, runs well, chips quick, hasn't missed a beat, only had to buy a new ram for the hitch and a new set of blades. Apart from that and service kit, it doesn't owe a thing.

I run a gm 220 as well as a quadchip and the 220 is a good machine, han no problems really apart from wearing items and service stuff. good machine.

We have a tw150 dhb and 150 vtr both work well for us though they are let down on build quality the chassis on the vtr has already cracked! and has done the same on my mates so shows its a poor design. Plus you have the bearing issue.
